true that beatles are disqualified from the top spot by taking their best writer and limiting him to 1-3 songs per album
nobody is as good as peak beach boys tho mccartney himself would concede

its mostly that harrisons the heart for me lol. i will never forgive them for taking my favorite beatles song (its all too much) and dooming it to be on fuckin yellow submarine. all things must pass is one of my favorite albums of all time at least
well obv pet sounds is one of the most important albums ever made but honestly i think sunflower is my favorite of theirs. id say pet sounds is brian's best album and sunflower is their best collective album as a band. i also think surf's up could have been better than both with dennis's songs on but he and the rest couldn't agree on the tracklist so they got dropped and a horrendous horrendous mike love cut got added instead lmao. with that (and take a load off your feet but that song is much better lol just out of place) dropped for 4th of july and live again it coulda been my favorite album ever made tbh (r.e.m. still got that on lock)

It's All Too Much is top-tier. A highlight track in their discography but I also like Yellow Submarine as a whole. I used to listen to it a lot while taking notes for my AP history classes since it was such a chill vibe.

i dont really mind the orchestral stuff. its more so the album is sorta structured in a way where people just assume its all skippable and then end up missing what i think is their literal apex track lol. shoulda been on mmt or pepper
all together now is the only of the four new originals there i dont fuck with honestly. hey bulldog beats ass and i quite dig only a northern song

oh dude yes the harrison album is so good. the instrumentals at the end are basically a bonus disc and theyre cool but the main album is really magical for me. about half of those songs were written during the beatle days too
and yea as much as i adore pet sounds (i really really love it lol as someone who is both making and producing my own music its a very inspiring album for me esp since brian goddamn wrote it at my age what the hell) i do feel like it kinda overshadows how good some of their other stuff is. im also a big fan of their albums today, friends, and holland, and they all offer pretty different sides of the band
