Yeah I was never a fan of mosh pits nor diving from the stage. I've seen some pretty scary falls too. There was this guy in a death metal gig who went into the mosh pit, he was an athletic dude, 5'8" or so. One of the guys inside was a huge, fat human being who didn't need muscles or speed to literally act like a wall against anyone who went against him. At some point the fat guy tripped while punching flies while the other was advancing towards him. Fat dude fell over this fella. Dude went cold and we thought he had died for a minute or so. In the end it was "just" a lung a bit pierced with a rib. Idk why people would risk their lives like that but...

Yeah, 26 here and I’m very much nearing mosh retirement. I really fucked my back up at the Better Lovers show. Stage dived like a king but after like six rows of people the floor opened up and landed directly on my ass lol

stage-diving and crowdsurfing is generally pretty safe if the crowd is tight enough. That said, I've been in some wild moshpits but I'm staying the fuck back for Knocked Loose I think. I don't think I can handle that heat

I had enough years in the pit to know I'm done dealing with the 250 pound 6'3 red and black flannel guy that inexplicably ends up at every show.

I love the energy when there are pits and they can be fun but still but I think I've had my fair share and I've certainly never been to anything as intense as KL shows can be.
