Apples was a pop trio from Japan that first formed in 1974. Consisting of three sisters under the aliases of Atsumi, Mayumi and
Kahori, the trio signed to Warner Pioneer in early 1976. The trio released three singles that year, and one album in October of
1976, “This is Apples”, although all three releases failed to do that well commercially. In late 1978, Apples folded, and the sisters
then formed Eve.
