SIG:AR:TYR is a black/folk metal project from Canada that started as a one-man project by Daemonskald, but later evolved into a full band. He released his first album, the completely acoustic The Stranger (EP), in 2003.Daemonskald started toying with the electric guitar and black metal elements on his first full-length, Sailing the Seas of Fate, which was released in 2005. Subsequent releases are fundamentally similar, but with slightly more progressive elements and fuller production. SIG, AR, and TYR are the names of three letters of the old North European runic alphabet.
