Marilyn Manson ranked!
11Marilyn Manson
Born Villain

Fucking hate this album. Overneath The Path of Misery bangs, as well as a few of the later tracks, but this sounds like shit, the vocal melodies are obnoxiously lazy and Manson’s crooning is horrendous.
10Marilyn Manson
The Golden Age of Grotesque

Have never been a fan of this, outside of 1 or 2 songs. Big fall off from the first 4 albums
9Marilyn Manson
Eat Me, Drink Me

Kind of underrated, but also kind of boring and doesn’t justify the runtime
8Marilyn Manson
We Are Chaos

Hasn’t held up as well as i thought it would, but still solid. More forward thinking like Pale Emperor, but is held back by some of the heavier tracks, which makes the tracklist feel uneven. Love the short length here, an easy listen.
7Marilyn Manson
Heaven Upside Down

Kind of love this, i think some songs fall flat, and it feels unfocused, and maybe too independent on past ideas. He captures the Antichrist sound really well on some tracks, Say10 and WKWYFL, but other tracks like Revolution 12 feel really strained and cheesy, and at odds with the incredible, dark, mature sound of later tracks. Wish this had more stuff like Blood Honey.
6Marilyn Manson
Portrait of an American Family

The epitome of fun. It’s like if Marilyn Manson recorded their version of Alice In Chain’s Dirt (Cyclops is basically Sickman) it’s spooky, corny, catchy, and the gritty, grungey sound fits the band really well here.
5Marilyn Manson
The High End of Low

Honestly so underrated. I think WOW is my least favorite Manson track, but this album boasts some great melodies and a lot of variety. Manson sounds great here, calling back to early records and focusing on some introspective, moody stuff as well. Adore this album
4Marilyn Manson
Mechanical Animals

Love the crisp, futuristic textures and more mature songwriting on this, though most days i prefer The Pale Emperor in that regard.
3Marilyn Manson
Holy Wood

This and Mechanical Animals fight for supremacy a lot, but i think this is a great middle ground for the triptych
2Marilyn Manson
The Pale Emperor

This has aged brilliantly. His most mature LP, and the one that best fits his recent vocal tone. It’s aged, raw, and feels personal and reflective. One of the best rock albums in awhile.
1Marilyn Manson
Antichrist Superstar

I flip flop between the triptych albums for my #1, but i think this one is the best. The production on this is utterly immaculate, my favorite album production-wise. Manson’s vocals on this are fucking insane, and i miss his low, gravelly scream of the first 2 records. This album is so varied and engaging front to back. It’s creepy, catchy, heavy, and generally disgusting and bold. Phenomenal album.
